We will have our coffee/tea stop at Sainsburys in Lancaster, after which we cross the Millennium Bridge and join the disused railway line which we follow into Morecambe. A walk of about 5 miles with some inclines, good underfoot with 90% on quiet country lanes. The morning stop will be at Bull Beck Picnic Site where there are toilets and a kiosk for refreshments. On our return to Wray there is a pub and a cafe available.
Tomorrow’s planned walk at Stanah/Skipool would have been very muddy and probably under water, so Chris has decided that we’ll stick mainly to the lanes. We start from the car park as planned at 1pm.Please let others know about this alteration.Here are some photos from today’s recce.
