Simon Graham – Burscough walk, 29th October 2022

Published by admin on

A walk at Burscough yesterday, a first for many.
The refreshment stop was at a marina, where Ian manoeuvred his large coach around a small car park with apparent ease, something most members wouldn’t have attempted in their own car. He then dropped us off on a narrow country lane from where we made our way over a swing bridge and down to the canal bank. The bridge opened soon afterwards to allow a narrowboat to pass through (see video). We then walked along the canal before reaching muddy tracks, and open fields with a variety of different crops including kale, carrots, and cabbages as far as the eye could see. There were occasional showers, and sometimes a bit of blue sky during our 5 mile walk.
Thanks Chris.
