Chris Butler – Milnthorpe to Arnside walk, 2nd of March 2024

Our walk on March 2nd is from Milnthorpe to Arnside.
We will stop for coffee at Truckhaven in the morning.
From Milnthorpe, we will stroll through Dallam Park and wander through a pleasant woodland area near Storth. Some walking will be on quiet lanes. There are a few steady inclines, but much of the walk is fairly level.
Our approach to Arnside will be along the estuary with great views of the Lake District fells. We’ll walk along the front at Arnside and then swing back along the lane behind, to return to Arnside to finish our day.
The walk is between 5 and 6 miles, but could be shortened in adverse weather conditions.
