Beverley Peacock – Ambleside to Grasmere walk, 17th September 2022

Published by admin on

First a thank you to Diane for leading such a lovely walk, again the weather was really kind to us, and the sun shone all the way round. There were some beautiful sights to see, along with a vast array of colours.
We even had a magnificent dragonfly land on one of the Sheila (sorry I do not know what type of dragon fly it was). But it was a wonderful extra added to the great walk.
Lovely pace, and mostly flat only the odd up hill to negotiate, but nothing too harrowing. Lovely place to stop for lunch and I found myself a royal throne (old tree stump) to sit on but was joined by a couple of, in Margaret’s words, minions. Hope you enjoyed my company at lunch Margaret, if even you had difficulty climbing on my throne. All in all I can say I had a lovely day again, really enjoying walking with you all.
Thank you.
