Diane Whitworth – Grasmere recce

I will be leading a 6 mile linear walk from Ambleside to Grasmere on Saturday, 17th September. We will be having our usual refreshment break at Truckhaven before we continue onto Ambleside. Ian will drop us off just outside Ambleside and we will cross the A591 to take a track through Rydal Park to reach Rydal Mount. We then walk through the grounds of Rydal Church to Dora’s Field, exiting again onto the A591. We leave the road, cross a bridge and walk by the side of Rydal Water. The views are fabulous and we intend to lunch by the shore and then continue onto Grasmere. Looking forward to seeing everyone” 🥾🥾 😀😀 xx.
