Julie McGough re Gerry Stephen
Julie McGough is sad to announce the death of her father and former Fylde Naturalist Member Gerry Stephen.
He was an active member for 50 years, leading walks, giving lectures and organising Trust holidays.
He also held the post of Club Secretary for 25 years.
He was a very keen naturalist, bird watcher and photographer, he often gave lectures to the group.
His great interest and knowledge of wild flowers especially Alpines took him travelling around the world.
He will be missed by his wife Melody and his family.
He passed peacefully at the age of 91, he had a full and interesting life.

Really sorry to hear about your dad, Julie.
I remember him well, leading walks and being very knowledgeable about nature and the environment.
He’s probably leading groups already in the ‘big blue yonder’.
