Chris Butler – Ings recce

Published by admin on

On Saturday 6th August, our outing is a circular walk from Ings, which is a small village a few miles from Windermere in the Lake District. The walk is around 6 miles and has extensive views of the surrounding area, including the lake (depending on the weather!!) We will have a refreshment and toilet stop at Truckhaven on the outward journey.
We walk through woods and along country lanes and past some well-kept gardens. There are some steady inclines, as you would expect, but nothing like, for example, the Coffin Trail!!!
We won’t be rushing and there will be plenty of time to appreciate the surroundings. We will end the walk at the Watermill Inn and Brewery(!!) or you can explore the village if you’d rather.
Looking forward to seeing you all on the large coach!

It was a wonderful walk in Ings and such a wonderful group of people to share it with. Apart from being attacked by sheep poop, I rather enjoyed it. I have got some lovely photos from the day which I’d like to share with everyone but I’m not sure as to how I share them. Kind regards
