Colin Rogers

It is with regret we announce the recent passing of another of our group, Colin Rogers. Colin was an enthusiastic member of the Naturalists’ for many years. He was inseparable from his wife Noreen, with whom he had recently celebrated 60 years of marriage. They loved walking with the group especially in The Lake District . He was generous with his time, leading walks and supporting our social events. From 1997 Colin audited the Nats accounts and from 2005 to 2014 he was our Treasurer. We pass on our heartfelt condolences to Noreen, at this, the saddest time.

I have great memories of Colin from the Fylde Naturalists coach trips. He was good company and enjoyed sharing the light-hearted banter with other members of the group– at least, I hope he did!!
He was a perfect gentleman and was well respected by everyone.
Colin was a dedicated treasurer for many years, and thanks to him, our finances are in good order.
I’m sure all the members would like to send their condolences to Noreen.
Colin will be sadly missed, but the memories will remain.

Lovely Colin will be missed by all that knew him. A quiet humorous man – I have happy memories of him and Noreen in their matching fleeces, socks and gaiters – always pleasant company on many a walk.
Rest in peace Colin – it was an honour to know you.
