RE Chipping walk 22nd February 2020
We arrived at Chipping at 11am fearing the worst after the previous night’s weather report. Instead we had a dry if very blustery day. We started the walk at the church and passed what was left of Berry’s Chair Works, then across the fields to Birchen Lea Farm and on to Park Stile. Then we made our way down through two more farms to arrive at the telephone box at Dinkling Green and returned by road to avoid some serious mud. We completed the six and a half mile walk at 2.30pm ready for a refreshing drink before boarding the coach for the Fylde. We saw a buzzard, a curlew and various small garden birds, not bad for such a windy day – Rosemary
